Deze module bevat twee elektromechanische relais om externe belastingen te schakelen vanuit een microcontroller met laag vermogen. De module wordt meestal aangestuurd via logische stuuringangen en gevoed met 12V voor de relaisspoelen, waardoor de besturingszijde en het geschakelde circuit van elkaar gescheiden blijven.
