How Codey works

Codey is your programming buddy. Everything is in one screen. These are the most important buttons.

  1. The chat Here you talk with Codey. Type what you want to make or change, in normal words.
  2. The code Here is the code that Codey writes for you. You can also type in it yourself.
  3. Compile & Upload to board One button for everything: Codey checks your code, gets it ready (compiling), and sends it through the USB cable to your Arduino (uploading). Is there an error? Then Codey can often fix it by itself.
  4. Wiring diagram Shows which wire goes where. You see it in the chat; click it to see it bigger.
  5. Serial Monitor Here you see the messages that your Arduino sends, for example the temperature or a distance.
  6. My Kit All the parts from your starter kit. Codey only uses things that you have.

Good to know: with your starter kit, you can use Codey as much as you want in your kit chats. You can ask Codey anything, also "what does this line do?" or "why does it not work?".
